Introduction
What is the meaning of life? For example, should a person pursue riches and fame, or should a person become a caretaker for the poor? Beyond this question, how can a person know if they have chosen the correct answer? Further, what happens to a person who chooses the wrong answer? These questions are extremely difficult, personal, and analytical. Obviously, there are no simple answers to these questions.
I personally have severely struggled with finding the meaning of life because I wanted scientific proof that I had chosen the correct answer. As a scientist, I was not satisfied with merely believing the popular answer. Instead, I wanted strong evidence to prove that I had made the correct choice.
While trying to find the meaning of life is a scientific problem, it is also a very personal problem. Before I became a strong Christian, I was an agnostic because I wanted scientific proof that God was real and that Christianity was true. Many questions are challenging to answer from a scientific perspective because science requires that information be based on evidence that is observable and repeatable. For example, the Bible teaches that God is eternal. Obviously, finding evidence that is observable and repeatable to prove that God is eternal is an enigma. Additionally, the Bible teaches that Heaven and Hell last for eternity, but the concept of eternity is also an enigma. For me, finding scientific answers to these questions was extremely challenging.
I did not become a strong Christian until I was nearly 30 years old. During these years when I did not have a personal relationship with God, I felt that life was empty. Life simply felt meaningless. Additionally, I was terrified of dying because I did not understand where I would go in the afterlife. Would I cease to existed, or would I be sent to Hell for eternity? My fear of death was so significant that I avoided driving on the highways because severe car accidents were very common.
During these years, I would describe the experience as being trapped in a horrible enigma. I desperately wanted to find the meaning of life so that I could escape this enigma. Throughout my life, I have read thousands of books, articles, and scholarly papers that addressed this question from many different perspectives. After nearly 30 years of searching, I finally found the answer. After I found the answer, I immediately wanted to share my faith with as many people as I could because I wanted to help other people find the truth also.
Before I became a strong Christian, my life was completely horrible. After I became a Christian, my life dramatically changed. So, when I decided to write this book, I understood from the very beginning that this book should be free because I wanted to help as many people as possible. I understand that life without Jesus is meaningless, and I want everyone to find Jesus.
In this book, the Gospel is presented, and the personal life stories of several Christians are presented which show how dramatically people change after they choose to follow Jesus. An edited compilation of scientific, historical, archeological, and theological evidence is also presented which provides very strong evidence that Christianity is true. Finally, a list of books is provided for further reading.
This book has two primary purposes. First, strong scientific evidence is presented which provides strong evidence that Christianity is true, and verses from the Bible are presented which describe God’s plan for our lives. This book was written to help everyone become a strong Christian and strengthen their faith by carefully studying all of the scientific, academic, and theological evidence that supports the Bible. The objectives of this book are to help people become Christians and to develop strong faith in Jesus.
